Hello! I’m Brailey Moeder, a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the Honors College at the University of Nevada, Reno. I am excited to be an instructor for HON109, the first-year experience course, as it focuses on creating a supportive but engaging environment for students to develop essential skillsets for both academic and personal growth. Having previous opportunities to help others navigate their full potential has been nothing short of amazing and I cannot wait to do the same with the Honors College.

I was raised in Hutchinson, KS but have traveled from one end of the United States to the other chasing the dream! I earned my B.S. in Anthropology (Forensic Concentration) from Washburn University in Topeka, KS. I continued my education in Erie, PA where I earned my M.S. in Forensic and Biological Anthropology. I am currently pursuing a doctorate degree at the University of Nevada, Reno in Biological Anthropology. My participation in forensic cases, research, and course work, have inspired my research interests ranging from positive identification, computational anthropology, and human variation. I am so thrilled to add Reno, NV to the places I’ve called home throughout my academic journey.

Outside of the classroom, I am very passionate about sports! I am a huge fan of any Kansas City team, specifically KC Current and the Kansas City Chiefs. I also love to read, attend concerts, go on hikes, and spend quality time with my dog, friends, and family.
