Neural Development
Our faculty investigate the cellular and molecular mechanisms that regulate the formation of the nervous system using genetic and molecular approaches in vertebrate (mouse) and invertebrate (C. elegans, Drosophila) model systems.
Research projects include studies to understand how axons grow through the developing brain to form connections as well as studies to understand how various signaling pathways control neuronal polarity, axon guidance and the assembly of functional neural circuits.
