Our faculty investigate the molecular mechanisms that control various aspects of cellular function using genetic, pharmacological, chemical and molecular approaches in vertebrate and invertebrate model systems.
Research projects includes studies to understand the formation of the nervous system, metabolism, the transcriptional regulation of circadian rhythms and the regulation of glycosylation and glycoprotein processing.
In addition to examining roles of biological macromolecules, our faculty are interested in structure elucidation, synthesis, and ecological roles of plant secondary metabolites and novel animal toxins.
