Created to thank those supporters, the President’s Circle is our annual donor recognition community, honoring philanthropy that strengthens the University’s mission and helps move Nevada forward.
This is more than recognition. It’s belonging — a shared commitment to students, discovery and community impact, and a special place within our donor community.
Why the President’s Circle exists
The President’s Circle exists to thank donors whose annual giving reflects a belief in the power of education and its collective impact. Philanthropy plays a vital role in ensuring the University of Nevada, Reno continues to thrive as the state’s flagship land-grant public research institution.
What membership means
Membership includes thoughtful recognition, invitations to special events, stories of impact, and meaningful engagement with University leadership, students and faculty — along with a sense of belonging among those who support Nevada year after year.
Who is part of the President's Circle?
The President’s Circle welcomes donors whose annual giving reaches $2,500 or more in a fiscal year (June 30-July 1), whether through a single gift or a combination of gifts across any area of the University.
Membership levels
Membership reflects the total of your annual giving and is recognized at the following levels:
- President’s Circle: $2,500–$9,999
- President’s Circle Blue: $10,000–$24,999
- President’s Circle Silver: $25,000+
- President’s Circle Recent Graduate (within the last five years): $1,000+ — welcomed at a special entry point that reflects an early commitment to Nevada
Frequently asked questions
All charitable gifts made during the fiscal year — July 1 through June 30 — count toward membership, regardless of designation. This includes gifts to any college, program, or initiative, including Nevada Athletics.
No. Gifts to The President’s Circle support the University of Nevada, Reno — not presidential initiatives. You choose where your gift is directed.
Yes. Recurring gifts are counted toward your annual total based on their projected yearly amount.
Yes. You receive President’s Circle credit for the full pledge amount in the year the pledge is made.
For example, a $2,500 pledge made this fiscal year immediately qualifies you for President’s Circle membership. Payments made on that pledge in future fiscal years do not count toward giving totals in those future years.
The President’s Circle is an annual recognition program designed to celebrate leadership giving each year. It complements but does not replace Honor Court.
Absolutely. Many donors reach the President’s Circle through a combination of gifts over the year. If you’re close to $2,500, you can join by increasing your support.
Yes. Nevada Athletics donors are part of the President’s Circle community at the same giving levels.
