Various Visitors Established by an anonymous donor, the Distinguished Visiting Writer in Residence Endowment in English brings to campus exceptional writers who specialize in playwriting, screenwriting, fiction, nonfiction, and/or poetry not only to share their work but to teach students in these fields. Through this endowment, authors Robert Wrigley and Manuel Gonzales have come to campus, and authors Patricia Smith and Justin Torres have upcoming scheduled visits. Established: 2009.
