- Leadership opportunities - chapter officer roles and committee involvement.
- Academic support - study groups, mentorship, and accountability to help you succeed.
- Service and philanthropy - opportunities to give back to the Reno, Sparks and Tahoe community.

A Step-by-Step Guide on How to Join
- Attend IFC and Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life Pre-Recruitment Events - The IFC and the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life host pre-recruitment events at the beginning of the Fall and Spring semesters. These events are casual, free and open to all interested students and intended to "welcome" you to campus life. You'll meet members from each organization, learn about their values, and get a feel for the community.
- Attend Chapter Events - After the first week of each semester, chapters will host their own recruitment events such as barbeques, game nights, community service activities, and more. These events are intended to help you get to know members in a casual and relaxed atmosphere. More often than not, chapters will have free food and beverages that all students can enjoy. We always say, "go for the food, stay for the brotherhood".
- Ask Questions and Explore Your Fit - Each fraternity has its own culture, set of values, and expectations. Take time to ask about all of the things that matter to you, such as academics, financial and time commitments, leadership opportunities, service, and new member education.
- Receive a Bid - A bid is a formal invitation to join a fraternity. You may receive a bid from one or more chapters during the recruitment period. However, participation in recruitment does not guarantee you a bid.
- Accept Your Bid - Once you accept your bid, you'll be expected to fill out an "affiliation card" with the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life.
- Begin the New Member Education Process - New member education is a structured, values-based program that introduces you to the chapter's history, traditions, expectations, and brotherhood. All new member education programs follow strict University policies and IFC guidelines to ensure a safe and positive experience.
