Student Speech Awards

The Northern Nevada Diversity Summit Student Speech Awards is an annual competition giving students from NSHE institutions the opportunity to share their thoughts on a predetermined topic.

Student Impact Awards

Established in 2026, the Student Impact Awards recognize outstanding student innovation and community engagement that strengthens partnerships across Nevada’s communities.

Our faculty awards are announced at the annual Northern Nevada Diversity Summit and at the Honor the Best ceremony. Recipients receive $5,000 in recognition of their achievements.

DEIA Leadership Award

Since 2017, this award recognizes University faculty and staff members for exceptional and exemplary work in advancing inclusion, equity, and diversity outside of their primary role responsibilities.

DEIA Excellence in Practice Award

Established in 2026, this award recognizes individuals whose formal role responsibilities include DEIA work and whose efforts and impacts far exceed those responsibilities.
