French
- Area/Department: Foreign Languages & Literatures
Students majoring in French gain advanced speaking, reading and writing skills in the language, as well as knowledge of French and francophone literature and film.
Degrees in French
- Minor in French: For a minor, 21 credits are required of which 14 must be numbered above 300.
- Bachelor of Arts in French: For a major, 30 credits are required, all of which must be 300 level or above, except for the required course in culture, French 221.
- Master of Arts in French: The mission of the graduate program is to educate students in French language, culture, and literature at the highest possible level, to provide students with a broad knowledge base from which to pursue more-specialized studies, and to offer a depth of experience in scholarship that will advance their future professional activities.
