Reservation request

Arranging a visit to Whittell Forest & Wildlife Area involves two steps:

  1. Filling out an application form with project/event details
  2. Requesting a reservation for specific dates

Policies

  1. The Whittell Forest & Wildlife Area is intended for use by students, faculty and collaborators to meet the University and Whittell mission and vision. With the exception of outreach events, Whittell is generally not open to use by friends and family members of forest users. Other uses may be approved at the discretion of the forest administration.
  2. All non-University employees, including students, are required to sign a risk and liability waiver, which must be on file prior to accessing Whittell. No exceptions will be made, and personal vehicle use is at the discretion of the driver.
  3. No dogs are allowed on the property. Under rare circumstances, exceptions may be made at the discretion of the forest administration.
  4. Use of Whittell, road networks, facilities and equipment lying therein requires approval from the forest administration. Reservations are required for access and use, and can be made using the following reservation form. Reservations must include project details, contact information, required sampling permits and tentative dates.
