Summary
Russ Dickman has been the instructor of tuba at the University of Nevada, Reno since the fall of 2018. He is also the principal tubist of the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra, a member of the Great Basin Brass Quintet, Sierra Brass Quintet and frequently performs with various chamber groups in the Reno area. Russ has performed with the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra since 1969 and has been the featured soloist performing the Vaughn Williams tuba concerto twice with the orchestra. As an entrepreneur, Russ has made a career as a professional photographer and most recently as a master coffee roaster owning and operating High Sierra Coffee Roastery. When not performing or teaching you can usually find Russ gazing through his telescope, sailing or canoeing with his wife Lynda. They make their home near Frenchmans Lake in the Sierra Valley.
