Emily Smith is a vocal instructor and lecturer for the Department of Music at the University of Nevada, Reno.
She has been teaching voice and piano lessons professionally since graduating with her Master's in 2019 from the University of Nevada, Reno. An Ohio native, Emily performed with the Cleveland Orchestra, Akron Symphony and Summit Choral Society as a soloist. She has been active with the National Association of Teachers of Singing for over 10 years competing and placing first in the Advanced Women’s Category. Emily often collaborates with musicians in the Reno area. She sings and conducts performances through the Sierra Music Society and actively teaches and coaches students in the surrounding school system. She has experience singing in Early Music Ensembles, Opera performances, religious ceremonies and contemporary music ensembles.
