Summary
Amy Au is a collaborative pianist and coach with over 20 years of performance and teaching experience. She began her piano and violin training with the Arts for Talented Youth Program at the Peabody Preparatory, and then went on to earn her B.A. with honors in piano performance from the Eastman School of Music. She completed her M.A. in Music Education at Teachers College, Columbia University. She has performed across the United States as a soloist, ensemble musician, and accompanist, including with the Tahoe Symphony Orchestra and Chorus (TOCCATA), the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, and in chamber, choral, and theatrical productions. At the University of Nevada, Reno, she serves as a coach and collaborative pianist for master classes, lessons, recitals, and recordings. Amy has taught and directed music programs in New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Arkansas, Washington, California, and Nevada, and she continues to coach pianists and violinists of all levels through her private, multi-state studio.
