Summary

Research in the Peter and Takako Jones lab is focused on facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy or FSHD. We investigate FSHD pathogenic mechanisms, develop therapeutic approaches (CRISPR and small molecule), and create animal models of the disease for pre-clinical testing. In addition, we provide a confidential research-grade test for FSHD1 and 2 to individuals and families all over the world at no cost to them.
