Summary
Vilma Arauz is a first-year graduate student in the Online Master of Social Work (MSW) Program at the University of Nevada, Reno. She was born and raised in Northern Nevada and graduated from the University with a degree in General Studies with an emphasis in Psychology and Communications, and a minor in Community Health Sciences. She has over 10 years of experience working with children and families in Title-I Schools in Washoe County and Clark County. She is an advocate for restorative and trauma-informed practices throughout multiple organizations. Outside of graduate school, Vilma enjoys yogic studies, meditation, soccer, relaxation, exploring new cities, cultures, foods and dancing.
