In a nutshell
- Who: The University of Nevada, Reno invites top candidates from the Atmospheric Sciences graduate program applicant pool.
- What: A three-day introduction to the University and Desert Research Institute campuses, the Atmospheric Sciences graduate program, and the Reno/Tahoe area. This visit is coordinated with the Division of Atmospheric Sciences (Desert Research Institute).
- When: March 2 – March 4, 2023
- Where: University of Nevada, Reno campus, Desert Research Institute, Reno Campus
- What is included: All costs are covered by the University—this includes transportation, lodging, and meals.
- Please RSVP via registration form no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, February 17 with emailed password to reserve your spot.
Itinerary
Get a sense of what it's like living in Northern Nevada through visits to surrounding areas demonstrating Reno/Tahoe's lifestyle and culture. Learn about graduate assistantships and fellowships, as well as services provided to you as a graduate student at the University of Nevada, Reno.

The Atmospheric Sciences Program is a graduate program affiliated with the UNR Department of Physics and the Desert Research Institute (DRI)'s Division of Atmospheric Sciences.
It is the only graduate degree program in the discipline of Atmospheric Sciences within the State of Nevada, and it advances research and education in the following areas of research:
