Criteria for Faculty Senate Committee recipients
This award is based on the following selection criteria of University faculty:
- Membership: Nominated faculty must be a current member of the Faculty Senate committee specified for the corresponding month (see award calendar above).
- Qualities: Nominated faculty demonstrate participation and engagement, including regular attendance at committee meetings and events.
- Contribution: Nominated faculty are high contributors to the committee; examples include, but are not limited to, the following: faculty member leads a subcommittee, oversees the work on a specific charge, or demonstrates a significant contribution to the work of the committee, for example developing a survey or planning an event.
Nominations
- The chair of the designated committee will nominate a faculty member from their committee to the Faculty Senate Office no later than 14 days before the upcoming Senate meeting. Committees designated for summer months should submit their nominations by the end of the spring semester for recognition in the first Senate meeting of the following fall semester.
- Nominations should include the faculty member’s name and title, along with a brief description of the contributions they have made to the Committee that warrants this recognition.
- Nominations will be reviewed and confirmed by the Faculty Senate Executive Board.
