Meet the Faculty Senate
Senators are elected by faculty in their respective colleges or units. As advocates for faculty welfare, senators help make decisions about campus policies and submit recommendations to the President. They communicate with their constituents about the Senate's activities and gather faculty opinions on issues that affect faculty, students and staff. As advocates for faculty welfare, senators provide input to assist the Faculty Senate in approving recommendations to the President regarding campus policies and initiatives. Senator duties outline responsibilities for communicating with and soliciting input from their constituents regarding current issues that may affect not only faculty, but students and staff as well.
