Agricultural Science Degree
The B.S. in Agricultural Science is one of the newest and most exciting programs at the College of Agriculture, Biotechnology & Natural Resources at the University. The major provides students with current professional training in the business, management, economics and production of agricultural systems.
The goal of this major is to educate and prepare students to successfully compete for agricultural-related jobs in Nevada and throughout the world. The major emphasizes different agricultural production systems and economics, and it covers the relationships among soils, plants, insects, animals and the environment among other components of agricultural systems. We treasure agriculture, and we believe that a strong Agricultural Sector is a major driving force for our state and our country. We are committed to excellence in teaching and research, and we are devoted to community outreach.
