Transferring from Texas

Core curriculum and major transfer agreements

The University of Nevada, Reno partners with Texas’s colleges to establish transfer agreements. These agreements help students transition smoothly to the University.

Core transfer agreements automatically enable students to earn a lower-division core waiver at the University if they complete the Texas Common Core. Per the NSHE Board of Regents, all students must complete ENG 102 and the United States and Nevada Constitutions requirements. Waivers will not be processed for General Education course requirements that serve as prerequisites for major courses. See the University Catalog for more information.
