Transferring from Arizona

Core curriculum major transfer agreement

The University of Nevada, Reno partners with Arizona’s colleges to establish transfer agreements. These agreements help students transition smoothly to the University.

Core transfer agreements automatically enable students to earn a lower-division core waiver at the University if they complete one of the following:

  • Arizona General Education Curriculum- A (AGEC-A): for Liberal Arts majors
  • Arizona General Education Curriculum- B (AGEC-B): for Business majors
  • Arizona General Education Curriculum- S (AGEC-S): for Science & Math-Based majors

Per the NSHE Board of Regents, all students must complete ENG 102 and the United States and Nevada Constitutions requirements. Waivers will not be processed for General Education course requirements that serve as prerequisites for major courses. See the University Catalog for more information.
