Keola Wong

Coordinator, Asian Pacific Islander Student Services

Summary

Aloha, my name is Keola Wong and I was born and raised in Kāne'ohe, Hawai'i on the island of O'ahu. I attended Damien Memorial High School, got my associate degree from Windward Community College, my bachelor's from the University of Hawai'i at Manoa, and my master’s from Northern Arizona University.

However, before attending college, I worked as a carpenter for the Hawai'i Carpenter Union, building homes and concrete formwork for parking garages and basketball arenas. I then found my passion in education, went back to school, and have been in higher education for the last ten years.

I enjoy challenging students and pushing them to break their own barriers and find their ultimate dream. When I am not in the office, I enjoy hanging out with my family, taking my son to swim lessons, and building or fixing things. I also watch sports and historical documentaries.
