Events

The Golden Scholars program hosts events every semester in order to help first-generation students engage with peers, mentors and faculty members. Building a sense of community and providing comprehensive support are both integral components of Golden Scholars' mission.

In Fall 2025, the Golden Scholars program hosted a Welcome Back BBQ for participating students, featuring bingo and other fun activities.

In Spring 2025, Golden Scholars held its Advancement Ceremony to honor graduating students from the program. Students received their special graduation stoles and reflected on their time at the University of Nevada, Reno.
