Summary
Nora Constantino's research interests include physical activity across the lifespan and the effects of hormones on bone density. She is currently involved in nutrition education research on a National Institutes of Health (NIH)-funded grant focused on supporting healthy habits in preschool-aged children and their mothers as part of efforts to prevent childhood obesity. Constantino is also seeking funding with Jeff Elias at the Sanford Center for Aging at the University of Nevada, Reno to examine factors that contribute to reduced physical activity among older adults transitioning from independent living to assisted living facilities.
