Summary
Research interests
Molly Hagan has nearly a decade of experience working in wildlife biology and subsequently shifted her research focus from wildlife conservation and physiology to human health. This transition reflects the view that many contemporary wildlife challenges are rooted in human behavior and that physical and emotional health are central to addressing destructive and dissociative behaviors.
Her research interests are broad and include the intersections of mental and physical health, topics related to traumatic experiences (such as denial, recovery, resiliency and impacts on physical health) and alternative therapies that promote human well-being while fostering a healthier connection to the environment. These include gardening, creative arts rooted in upcycling and environmentally based service learning.
