Summary

Shannon Burleson-Gonzalez, MSN, RN, received a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2008 followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2012.  She received a Master of Science in Nursing in 2019 in the nurse educator track through the University of Nevada, Reno.  Shannon has worked in critical care settings as an intermediate ICU RN, a flight RN, a cardiovascular catheterization lab RN, and as chest pain coordinator.  Shannon has a passion for learning and education and wants to make a positive impact in the world through research and education.  Her primary research interest is studying a resilience equine-assisted learning program with the goals to reduce nursing student burnout.
