Jocelyn Schneider, MSN, APRN is a Reno native and proud two-time University of Nevada, Reno alumna, having earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 2006 and her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in 2017. Her connection to the university runs deep, and it became even more meaningful when her son recently graduated from UNR as a third-generation alumnus.

One of the most rewarding aspects of Schneider’s career is mentoring aspiring nurses and sharing her knowledge and experience with those entering the profession. She finds great fulfillment in watching students and emerging healthcare professionals grow into confident, capable nurses who make a positive impact in their communities.

Schneider believes nursing is one of the most important professions and is passionate about supporting the next generation of nurses. She recognizes that investing in future healthcare professionals is one of the most effective ways to strengthen both communities and the healthcare system as a whole.
