Schedule a community partner consultation

The OCELL welcomes an opportunity to meet one-on-one with community partners to discuss community-engaged learning related issues/concerns, to better understand the community-engaged learning program and your role as a co-educator or to brainstorm community-engaged learning projects. Request a Community Partner Consultation by emailing our director.

Community-engaged learning project request form

Are you a community partner with a specific idea for a community-engaged learning project? Please complete the Community-Engaged Learning Project Request Form. These project requests will be added to the Faculty Webcampus Site so that community-engaged learning faculty can view potential opportunities for course partnerships with community partners. Please keep in mind that project requests do not guarantee partnership with any specific course, but rather the project will be made available to interested community-engaged learning faculty who will contact you directly for further information and to work out course partnership details.

Community partner community-engaged learning guidebook*

The Community Partner Guidebook is designed to be a resource tool for community partners involved with service learning faculty/courses. The resource guide provides you with guidance on your role as a co-educator, designing a community-engaged learning project, preparing students to serve at your organization, and facilitating student reflection activities.

Guiding questions for community-engaged learning partnership meetings*

A community-engaged learning experience is a collaborative partnership between a faculty member and a community organization(s). The faculty member and community organization(s) together identify a project or activity that addresses a community need or contributes to the necessary work of the organization. The Guiding Questions for Community-Engaged Learning Partnership Meetings are meant to be a guide to discuss the objectives and details of the project and establish partnership expectations.

*Please note the Guidebook and Guiding Question PDFs will be available at a later date.
