Community-Engaged Learning Council

The Community‑Engaged Learning (CEL) Council provides leadership to advance high‑quality, equitable community‑engaged learning across the curriculum. The Council develops resources aligned with national best practices, strengthens university–community partnerships, and supports intentional integration of CEL through policy review and cross‑campus collaboration. It also oversees CEL course designations, assessment, and quality assurance to ensure inclusive and meaningful learning experiences. The CEL Council also plays a key advisory role in the Carnegie Community Engagement Re‑Classification by guiding curricular alignment, data collection, and broad participation in community‑engaged scholarship. Learn more about CELS on our About page.
