Training and Workshops

All University employees are required to attend Sexual Harassment and Discrimination Prevention Training.

Nevada Administrative Code (NAC) 284.496 (1.)(2) states: "1. Within 6 months after an employee is initially appointed to state service, the employee shall attend a certified class concerning the prevention of sexual harassment. 2. At least once every 2 years after his {her} initial appointment to state service, an employee shall attend a certified refresher class or training concerning the prevention of sexual harassment."

Discrimination and Sexual Harassment Online Refresher Training

Please use the “Discrimination and Sexual Harassment Refresher Training Video” link below to view the online refresher training - if you have never attended an in-person training session you are not eligible to complete the online refresher training (please see below for instructions on registering for an in-person training session). After viewing the training, use the “Discrimination and Sexual Harassment Refresher Training Acknowledgement From” link to fill out and send the acknowledgment form to the EO/TIX office. Once the EO/TIX Office receives your completed acknowledgment form, the information will be placed in our database as confirmation of your training. As mentioned above, this training must be renewed every two years.

Training sessions in Northern Nevada

Training sessions may be canceled if there are not enough registrants. In the event of a cancellation you will be notified to reschedule to an upcoming training session of your choice.

Because space is limited all employees must register for the training session they would like to attend - if you do not register we cannot ensure you will be able to attend if you show up for a training session.

Employees may register and/or be added to the waitlist for any upcoming training session by clicking on the register link below.

If you have any difficulties or questions please contact our office via phone at 775-784-1547 or email: herskine@unr.edu.
