Training and Workshops
All University employees are required to attend Sexual Harassment and Discrimination Prevention Training.
Nevada Administrative Code (NAC) 284.496 (1.)(2) states: "1. Within 6 months after an employee is initially appointed to state service, the employee shall attend a certified class concerning the prevention of sexual harassment. 2. At least once every 2 years after his {her} initial appointment to state service, an employee shall attend a certified refresher class or training concerning the prevention of sexual harassment."
Discrimination Online Training
Please use the “Discrimination and Sexual Harassment Refresher Training Video” link below to view the online training. After viewing the training, use the “Discrimination and Sexual Harassment Refresher Training Acknowledgement From” link to fill out and send the acknowledgment form to the EO/TIX office. Once the EO/TIX Office receives your completed acknowledgment form, the information will be placed in our data base as a confirmation of your training. As mentioned above, this training must be renewed every two years.

Workshops in Northern Nevada
If there are 3 or fewer registrants for a workshop, you will be notified and rescheduled to an upcoming workshop of your choice. All classes are conducted in the Artemesia Building Glazner Training Room on the University campus.

**PLEASE NOTE**
Classes are open to all members of the campus community and space is limited. Registration is necessary in order to attend a Sexual Harassment/Discrimination Prevention Workshop and may be made on the Professional Development and Training (PD&T) calendar at: http://www.cis.unr.edu/Training/Events.aspx; a NetID or MedID and password are required to register.
Training for departments is available.

Workshops in Las Vegas
The Las Vegas workshops are conducted at 2040 West Charleston Boulevard, Las Vegas, 4th Floor, in the Dean's Conference Room.
At least two days prior to the scheduled workshop, attendees should register and confirm class time by contacting Terry Garcia at (702) 671-2306 or mtgarcia@medicine.nevada.edu.
