Digital Interactive Games

Gaming is one of the hottest trends in the technical industry right now, with an explosion of mobile devices, popular apps and online badges for everything from working out to conserving energy. The Department of Computer Science and Engineering has faculty with expertise in a range of areas related to digital gaming, including artificial intelligence, computer graphics and embedded systems. 

Northern Nevada is an ideal location for students interested in breaking into the gaming industry. Reno has a strong gaming industry and is located just a few hours from the flourishing San Francisco Bay Area games and high-tech hub.

The minor in digital interactive games provides a background in both the technology and art of developing games or simulations, and the program is designed to be of interest to students in a range of fields, including arts, journalism and education.
