I earned my BA in Psychology here at UNR in 2010, after which I completed my MA in Clinical Psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University. I gained experience in the psychology field for several years as a case manager and therapist. My research interests include bullying and school violence, relational aggression among adolescent girls, issues pertaining to risk and resilience in adolescents, and stigma surrounding mental illness.
I worked with Dr. Suniya Luthar in her Risk and Resilience lab at Teachers College, Columbia University from 2012-2013. My primary duties included literature reviews and data entry using SPSS. I currently participate in a sexual assault research group at the University of Nevada, Reno. In addition, I am exploring research examining relational aggression from the perspective of social identity theory.
