Approval requirements

Food trucks require advance approval through Scheduling Services. Submit an event request and provide the business name of the food truck.

Scheduling Services will verify the vendor’s documentation on file during the approval process. Vendors must maintain:

  1. Sponsorship by a University Group (UAM 5,302)
  2. Current commercial insurance (requirements)
  3. State business license
  4. State health license
    1. You may look up vendors who have current health licenses on the Nevada DPBH Website. Select "Environmental Health Section" for the Business Unit and "Food Establishment (Mobile Units)" for the Credential Type and select Search.

If University funds are used to procure the food truck, the vendors are responsible for completing their registration through the NSHE vendor registration system and maintaining an active registration.

If documentation is missing or expired, the vendor must submit updated documentation before approval can be granted. This may delay event approval.

The vendor will be provided with a parking pass, which must be displayed on the vehicle.
