Military science careers

After you graduate from the University of Nevada, Reno as an Army ROTC Cadet, you will earn the rank of Second Lieutenant and be ready to start your career in a wide range of different branches and specialties.

The United States Army offers a variety of career path options:

Pay

Military pay scale varies by rank and class starting with "E" grades for enlisted members and then moving up to "W" or "O" grades for officers. The U.S. military pay scale is represented on a monthly basis and comes from the defense budget which is approved by the President. Military personnel also may receive stipends or bonuses for specific benefits.
