The University of Nevada, Reno at Lake Tahoe, allows students to tap into the cutting-edge collaborative research and scholarly activities happening in and around the Lake Tahoe Basin, led by our faculty. The University acquired the Wayne L. Prim Campus from Sierra Nevada University in 2022 and has incorporated the tight-knit community culture of the former institution with the Carnegie R-1 education provided by the University of Nevada, Reno to create an unmatched immersive educational experience for our students.

Our Sustainability Certificate adds a valuable credential to any field of study. With coursework in policy, conservation and sustainable business, we equip students with the skills to drive real-world impact in a rapidly evolving world.
The Arts, Land and Environment minor gives students an opportunity to experience interdisciplinary study in a dynamic way, through a semester at the Lake Tahoe campus and through archival research at the Nevada Museum of Art. Courses in Art, English, Geography, Journalism and Sociology focus on creative interpretations of sustainability issues and are combined with outdoor exploration and immersive learning within the museum. Studying alongside students from across University departments, courses in the minor offer several core curriculum requirements and provide specialist skills and experience for future-facing careers related to Arts, Land and Environment.
Our low-residency Master in Fine Arts programs offer working professionals and recent graduates a flexible path to creative growth. Intensive Tahoe residencies and expert mentorship support advanced work in writing and interdisciplinary arts.
