Nicole graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a Bachelors degree in Human Development & Family Studies in 2016 and with a Masters in Human Development & Family Studies in 2019. Nicole interned for Path to independence from 2015 - 2017 and loved helping the students socialize on campus, find internships and work experiences, and make the most of their college experience. She is very excited to have the opportunity to work with Path to Independence again and ensure students get a great job when they graduate from the program.
Nicole is also a track and field alum (2012-2017) - Event was the heptathlon (outdoor) and pentathlon (indoor), earned All-American status in 2017, and currently holds the school records in the outdoor high hump and indoor pentathlon
Nicole is originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, and moved to Reno in 2012. She is married to L.J. Jackson, a former football player at the University of Nevada, Reno and they have two dogs, Ace and Smokey.
