Summary

Exur Guillermo Garcia Jr. was born and raised in the Philippines. In 2013, He decided to be in Hawaii to pursue his college education and joined the United States Army after. He was a budget analyst while serving as both Active-Duty Specialist for four years and Reserve Sergeant for a year. He recently moved to Reno, and he is currently a volunteer of Nevada Humane Society while taking care of his financial duties as an Accounting Assistant III for both Nevada First-Gen Network (NFGN) and Dean's Future Scholars (DFS) which are both part of the outreach programs under College of Education & Human Development at University of Nevada, Reno. He loves to cook and play the piano during his spare time. He also started his Doctoral Program in Public Administration at Liberty University, and he is completing his application to be a Human Resources Officer at United States Navy. He is a first-generation doctoral and masteral student in his family, and he wants to continue their legacy of prioritizing education as a tradition for they believe that no one or nothing can take it away from them. He loves traveling to other countries, and it helps him build connections with people the same way with what they do while working as a team for Nevada First-Gen Network where everyone from different walks of life is appreciated, taken care of, and welcome like a family member because it is their second home.
