Summary

Melissa McGovern is the Clinic Coordinator for the University Center for Autism and Neurodevelopment partially funded by the Nevada Center for Excellence in Disabilities. Melissa holds a Bachelor’s in Special Education and a Master’s in Human Development and Family Studies. Prior to joining the College of Education, Melissa worked for Washoe County School District, Early Head Start, and Early Intervention Services. During the last five years, Melissa has worked and studied the Autism evaluation and diagnosis process. She has extensive experience in working with diverse and low-income children and families.
