Summary

Heidi Becker serves as a Regional Implementation Coordinator for the Nevada Center for Excellence in Disabilities, housed within the University of Nevada, Reno and the College of Education and Human Development. She serves on the MTSS Project as a coach and technical assistance provider, partnering with district leadership teams to support coordinated MTSS implementation. Heidi provides systems-level coaching and consultation to strengthen sustainable, data-driven practices that improve academic, behavioral, and social-emotional outcomes for all students.

Heidi previously served as an elementary educator for 19 years, including 11 years in the Manhattan School District in Manhattan, Montana, and eight years in the Cartwright School District in Phoenix, Arizona. During her time in Montana, she collaborated with the Montana Educational Curriculum Consortium through School Services of Montana to develop standards-based curriculum, alignment tools, and assessments to improve instructional coherence and student outcomes.

Heidi holds a Master’s Degree in Literacy and Digital Learning from the University of San Diego and a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Special Education from the University of Montana. She holds Nevada and Montana K–8 educator licenses, including a Montana P–12 Special Education Endorsement, and previously held an Arizona K–8 license with a K–12 Structured English Immersion Endorsement.

Through her diverse experiences across multiple states and educational systems, Heidi brings a comprehensive understanding of instruction, intervention, and systems-level leadership to her work supporting districts across Nevada.
