Summary

Dr. Adrienne Graham is an assistant professor in the counselor education program at the University of Nevada Reno. Dr. Graham's clinical experience includes working with individuals and groups in private practice as well as collaborating with local advocacy centers providing care for survivors of sexual and domestic/dating violence. She has served on a sexual assault response team in Athens, Georgia to advocate for survivors across multidisciplinary teams serving survivors. She specializes in working with survivors of sexual and domestic violence, trauma, college students and career counseling.

Dr. Graham has presented at the local and national levels and has contributed to scholarly publications related to these topics within counseling and counselor education. She is and EMDRIA trained EMDR counselor and incorporates trauma-focused approaches in teaching, supervision, and research. Dr. Graham's research interests primarily focus on advocacy and resilience among sexual assault survivors, specifically survivors who hold marginalized identities, and trauma-informed supervision and approaches.

Dr. Graham is a member of the American Counseling Association, Association of Counselor Education and Supervision, Southern Association of Counselor Education and Supervision, Association for Assessment and Research in Counseling, American College Counseling Association, Counselors for Social Justice and several other divisions of ACA. She previously served as a Leadership Fellow for Chi Sigma Iota, Emerging Leader for ACCA and former president and founder of UGA’s Gamma Beta Chapter of CSI. She currently serves as the co-chair for the ACCA’s clinical and supervision training committee and member of CSI’s Chapter Development Committee.
