What is CircleIn?

CircleIn is a flexible digital learning platform that helps students collaborate and access academic support anytime, anywhere. Designed to match students’ communication preferences, it supports text-based interactions and encourages peer-to-peer engagement.

The platform helps students build essential academic skills, including:

  • Self-reflection
  • Time management
  • Effective note-taking
  • Exam preparation
  • Help-seeking behaviors

Through a single mobile app, students can:

  • Chat with classmates
  • Create and share flashcards
  • Post class notes
  • Ask questions
  • Share videos
  • Send messages
  • Build and take quizzes

CircleIn also includes a point-based reward system that motivates students to participate and share knowledge, reinforcing positive study habits.

As part of its commitment to student success, University of Nevada, Reno provides free access to the CircleIn Study app for all students and faculty.

Download

  • University-issued iPads: Download the app through Self-Service.
  • Personal mobile devices: Find the app in the App Store or Google Play.
  • Windows or other computers: Use the web app.

Login

  • Launch the CircleIn app or go to the web app.
  • When prompted for your school, enter University of Nevada, Reno and select it from the list.
  • A pop-up will appear prompting you to log in with your university email and password.
  • Once logged in, you’ll land on the CircleIn home screen, where you can:
    • Access your courses and communities
    • Create messages
    • Share notes, flashcards, and other content
