What will I learn in a microbiology and immunology degree program?

The bachelor’s degree in microbiology and immunology at the University of Nevada, Reno focuses on modern microbiology with an emphasis on human and animal immunology. Jointly offered by the College of Science and the School of Medicine, the program begins with foundational coursework in mathematics, biology, chemistry and physics, followed by advanced study in microbiology and immunology. You are encouraged to participate in faculty-supervised research, particularly in medical research settings. Graduates are prepared for laboratory research careers and for admission to graduate or professional programs in the health sciences, including medical and dental school.
