Summary
I am a doctoral-level clinical psychology intern with experience providing psychotherapy and psychological assessment to diverse clients across a range of presenting concerns. My clinical interests include trauma, anxiety, depression, adjustment difficulties, and the emotional challenges that can arise during major life transitions. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), attachment theory, and psychodynamic perspectives to understand each client’s unique experiences and needs. I take a collaborative and individualized approach to therapy, helping clients develop effective coping strategies, deepen self-awareness, and build greater psychological flexibility while creating a therapeutic space where they feel respected, heard, and empowered.
As an Iranian American clinician and immigrant, I bring a multicultural and culturally responsive perspective to my work and value the ways that culture, identity, family, relationships, and life experiences shape mental health and well-being. My clinical work has strengthened my commitment to meeting clients with curiosity, compassion, and respect for their individual values and experiences. I am passionate about supporting university students as they navigate academic demands, relationships, and personal growth.
In balancing my personal and professional life, I practice self-care through reading, connecting with loved ones, hiking, camping, painting, spending time in nature, and exercise.
