Summary

The ability of a cow to successfully mate, conceive, give birth to and raise a healthy calf each year is essential to Nevada’s beef and dairy industry. A good understanding of physiology of both the male and female is critical in successfully managing reproduction. Causes for failures in reproduction must be identified and overcome. Our research will lead to the development techniques for manipulating the reproductive processes. These techniques in beef production will provide new options to help modern beef and dairy producers accomplish their management goals.
