Class placement

Standardized test scores are optional at the University of Nevada, Reno. If submitted, scores from the ACT or SAT are used for initial placement into chemistry, English and math classes.

Use the tables below to determine the proper starting class based on ACT or SAT scores.

NOTE: SAT math refers to tests administered in or after March 2016

Chemistry

You may register in the following chemistry courses when you meet one of the test requirements.
