Research interests

Neuromodulation

  • A novel, non-drug, safe and repeatable way to elicit neurostimulation using high intensity nanosecond electric pulses, for therapeutic and military applications
  • Novel neuromodulation approaches using electromagnetic fields in the radiofrequency, microwave, and millimeter wave range on biological systems such as cells and muscles

Numerical modeling

  • Numerical modeling for antenna design using custom-written Method of Moments method (MoM) code and for biological systems using Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) method

Biosensors

  • A novel miniaturized multifunctional biosensor unit serving as a gastrointestinal bleeding detector for capsule endoscopy
  • A microstrip-based bacteria sensor for the detection of E. Coli DH5-α and Pseudomonas Aeruginosa bacteria in water

Medical device

  • Development of digital circuit boards and dedicated firmware for a low power and miniaturized digital camera sensor and a WiFi image transmitting system
