Bachelor of Science in Nutrition
Nutrition combines the study of nutrition, a basic biological science, with studies of economic, political, cultural and biological factors that influence food choices and the nutritional health of humans. As a nutrition student, your studies will address issues relevant to medicine, agriculture and to society at large.
Our program includes two specializations: Nutritional Science and Dietetics.
Nutritional Science. The Nutritional Science specialization prepares students for health-related professional schools, including medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, physical therapy, and public health, as well as graduate research in nutrition and other biological disciplines.
Dietetics. The Dietetics specialization prepares students for the second step in becoming a registered dietitian (RD), a dietetic internship; and for other nutrition-related careers.
