Summary

Kara Wood is a doctoral student in the Interdisciplinary Social Psychology Ph.D. program. She has a master's degree in Sociology from the University of Nevada, Reno as well as two bachelor's degrees in psychology and sociology also from UNR. Her research explores social and behavioral determinants of health and well-being. Specifically, she is interested in topics such as physical reactions to stress, emotional regulation in older adults, and sexuality/body image and aging. She is passionate about intersectionality, interdisciplinary collaborative research, mixed methods, and asking questions.
