Revised parking permit refund policy
Following the decision to move classes online for the remainder of the spring semester, Parking and Transportation Services is modifying its policy to provide a refund for students who purchased a parking permit. There is approximately 25% of the parking permit year remaining before the permit would have normally expired. As a result, the refund amount for each type of permit, both annual and semester, is listed below. In order to be eligible for the refund, students must fill out the permit deactivation form and submit it by Friday, April 10, at 5 p.m.
Forms may be submitted in the following manner:
- Scanned and emailed to email@example.com
- Faxed to (775) 784-6219
- Mailed to Parking Services at 1664 North Virginia Street MS 0254, Reno, NV 89557.
Refund checks may take up to six weeks for processing.
Please be advised that if the permit is deactivated and refunded, the permit is no longer valid when the campus reopens and normal operations resume. Vehicles parked on campus without a valid parking permit will receive parking citations.
For those residents who returned home but left a vehicle on campus, please email Parking and Transportation Services with your name, license plate number and where you left your vehicle. Also please provide a phone number so you may be contacted if necessary.
Permit zone refunds amounts are listed below:
- Yellow zone permit holders: $142 refund
- Silver zone permit holders: $121 refund
- Tan zone permit holders: $90 refund
- Green zone permit holders: $70 refund
- Blue 1/ Evening/ Disabled zone permit holders: $38 refund
If no action is taken by the April 10 deadline, the permit will remain active until its expiration date.
