New parking facility

The new Gateway Parking Complex, located on the south end of campus will be opening soon.  Once opened it will increase our campus parking capacity by 811 new parking spaces, which will include reserved an permitted parking, EV charging spaces, carpool spaces, ADA parking and short-term hourly visitor parking.

For those students, faculty, and staff who are interested in parking in the new complex, two permit options will be available, in addition to the hourly parking:

  1. Silver Parking - located on levels -1-3 and 5-7 of the Complex, in any general Silver 21 parking space.  The cost of this option is $510 annually and will be prorated for the rest of the academic year at $255.
  2. Reserved Parking – reserved parking spaces located on the fourth level at the pedestrian bridge.  The cost of this option is $675 annually and will prorated for the rest of the academic year at $338.  With this option, a reserved, numbered parking space will be reserved for the permit holder from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday.  This provides the convenience of parking in the same parking space, every day.

Please call the Parking and Transportation Office at (775) 784-4654 or email them at parking_questions@unr.edu, to get on a waiting list.

Once the complex opens, based on availability, students and staff will be contacted to either exchange current permits, upgrade existing permits or to purchase a new one.
