The Tahoe Center for Environmental Sciences (TCES) represents a distinctive partnership between the University of California, Davis and the University of Nevada, Reno. The building was completed in 2006 as a collaboration between UC Davis and Sierra Nevada College. At the time, it was one of the first LEED Platinum building in Nevada.
The TCES is home to the UC Davis Tahoe Environmental Research Center (TERC), a world-class center for scientific research in the understanding of the Lake Tahoe watershed and aquatic ecosystems worldwide, and its Tahoe Science Center, a hands-on, interactive learning center.
