How meal plans work: Understanding the parts of a meal plan

Each meal plan includes a set number of meal swipes, used to eat at the Pack Place dining hall and exchanged for meal trades, and has an option for FoodBucks, campus dining dollars you can spend at other dining locations.

Meal swipes

Each swipe gives you one entry to Pack Place hall to eat during open hours, can be exchanged for meal trades at other dining locations and used to bring guests into Pack Place.

Meal trades

Trade one of your meal swipes for a complete bundled meal, including an entrée, side, and drink, at select campus dining locations.

FoodBucks

Loaded onto your WolfCard, you can spend these cash-based campus dining dollars at any Nevada Dining location.

Guest passes

Use a guest pass to treat friends or family to a meal at Pack Place.

Lifestyle meal plans - Option 1

With Lifestyle Meal Plans, students living in residence halls enjoy dependable access to Pack Place and flexible dining choices across campus through meal trades and FoodBucks.

The Pack Place dining hall with multiple food stations labeled “Comfort,” “Rooted,” and “Pick Place.” The counters are light wood with glass barriers, and overhead signage is bold and minimalistic. Digital menu screens display options above the serving area, while several people stand in line waiting to order. The space has bright lighting, a clean design, and an open layout that emphasizes accessibility and variety.
Lifestyle meal plans provide all students with versatile dining choices, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-friendly options, at Pack Place dining hall and across campus via meal trades.

Lifestyle meal plan license agreements

Lifestyle meal plans require a license agreement for a full academic year (August-May). Meal plan rates are divided across the fall (50%) and spring (50%) semesters. Students living on campus for only the spring semester pay 50% of the Lifestyle meal plan's academic year rate.

Convenience meal plans - Option 2

Convenience meal plans offer the same great options as Lifestyle plans, but with added flexibility. Bulk meal swipes let students choose the number of meal swipes that works for their eating habits when on campus.

Three people sit at a dining table in a casual restaurant setting, engaged in conversation. The table has a plate of food with greens and a glass of red beverage in front of one person, along with a napkin holder and a promotional sign. The background shows additional tables and chairs in a bright, modern interior.
Convenience meal plans make campus dining easy through bulk meal swipes and access to Pack Place or other dining locations via meal trades. These plans are perfect for commuters, grad students and anyone who loves great food without the hassle.
